These booties are spectacularly truly soft leather AND extremely comfortable on my fussy different- sized feet. Typically I wear 9.5 to fit my larger foot, but when I tried that size in a similar style bootie, the arch support felt like it was in the wrong place. So I reordered these booties in brown (not distressed, just slightly sueded, and almost mahogany in color) in 9 and they fit perfectly, with and without thin socks. Not sure I'm keeping them -- I really wanted black. But wow are they gorgeous, stylish AND comfortable. The soles are just delightful and quite flexible. I love them. Expensive, but I'm worth it. Slightly narrower than some mediums; quite firm arch support, almost too firm. And apparently, they run slightly longer than other 9s. I wear 41 in Naot, and 9 or 9.5 in Born booties for your comparison.

These boots are beautiful and very comfortable. I ordered a half size up to accommodate my orthotics. I love them with leggings as they upgrade the look and provide a bit of chic elegance.
